Metronome - Free online metronome.  A metronome is a practice tool that produces a steady pulse (or beat) to help musicians play rhythms accurately. The pulses are measured in beats-per-minute.

From The Top - From the Top is a non-profit organization that celebrates the passion, dedication and personal stories of the nation's outstanding young classical musicians. RADIO: From the Top is a weekly, hour-long radio showcase of America's top young classical musicians hosted by acclaimed pianist Christopher O'Riley. Listen to the radio show. TELEVISION: From the Top at Carnegie Hall provides an intimate look into the lives of young musicians and captures the excitement of their Carnegie Hall performances, both on stage and off. National Philharmonic - Learn more about one of our areas' most respected orchestras. The National Philharmonic is in residence practially in our backyard at the Music Center at Strathmore. Students age 7-17 attend the orchestra and chorale concerts free!

Playmusic.org - This interactive introduction to the symphony orchestra for children is presented and maintained by the American Symphony Orchestra League.

Create your own Music - This is a children's online creative music environment for children
of all ages. It's a place for kids to compose music, play with musical performance, music games and music puzzles.

Carnegie Hall Exploring Music Site for kids - Learn about sound, music notation, text, and instruments in a fun, interactive exploration of musical repertoire. Although designed primarily for those aged 6-12, these engaging games allow both kids and adults to experience great music while learning music concepts in a stimulating environment.

Maryland Music Educators Association - This site provides information on statewide music education events and resources.

Music Educators National Conference - The Association's website provides on-line music education resources, membership information, and a variety of useful links.

ARTSEDGE - The National Arts and Education Web Site is filled with curriculum ideas, interactive opportunities for students and teachers, professional development opportunities, and on-line resources. The site is maintained by the Kennedy Center.
