Welcome to the James River Day School Technology web site.
Our computer classes seek to provide students with an opportunity to expand their technology skills over time. I expect students to willingly explore new programs, and they should be willing to share their learning with others. Kindergarten students learn the basics of maneuvering with a mouse while exploring educational activities. In second grade, we start learning how to save a document to a disk. Third grade students begin to explore spreadsheets, developing slide presentations, and how to do an effective search on the Internet. By seventh grade, students create a movie utilizing Flip video cameras and Windows Movie Maker. And they finish their term by developing a web site by writing HTML code.
