It is always so much fun to celebrate Catholic Schools Week.  The children had fun playing BINGO with the kindergarten and spending time with their 3^rd grade prayer partners.  It was wonderful seeing so many of you at Open House last night.  The children were so excited about coming to school at night.  I hope that you enjoyed their 5 Senses Book.  They are very proud.

For 28 years I have felt so privileged to be a Catholic School teacher.  To be able to integrate God’s love into all that we do in school is indeed a wonderful thing!  Thank you for choosing Catholic education at Christ the King School for your child.

Groundhog Day

This week we celebrated Groundhog Day.  I heard that the groundhog saw his shadow so I guess we are in for a little longer winter.

The children had fun making their groundhog project and enjoyed the books Groundhog Day by Betsy Lewin and Huff and Puff on Groundhog Day by Jean Warren.  G is for Groundhog.

Pennies for Patients

Thank you to all of you who have sent in your change for this project.  The money collected will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Our own little Avrie is a poster child for this project. (See the poster outside our classroom.)

We will continue to collect during the month of February.

Bulletin Board

Our hall bulletin board looks awesome with all the beautiful hearts on it.  The children know that, “My name is in God’s heart.” means that God loves each one of them so very much.

Donuts With Dad

It was nice seeing so many of our Dads this AM.  Thank you for taking the time to share this special morning with your child.
