Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all our families!

Thank you so much for all the goodies and paper products that you sent in for our celebration.

Today we learned about St. Patrick.  As a boy he was taken from his family to Ireland.  He returned to his home and when he grew up he became a priest and went back to Ireland to teach the Irish people about God.  He used the shamrock to teach about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We are learning how to make the sign of the cross with our right hand.

We also talked about the color green and discovered that if we mix blue and yellow together we will get green.  We enjoyed the story Little Blue and Little Yellow by Leo Lionni.

As part of our celebration today, we followed a shamrock trail to find a pot of gold!.
