My name is Marissa Tompkins and this is my thirteenth year teaching. I have taught six years in first grade and six years in second grade. I have been teaching at Diablo Vista Elementary School since it opened in 2000. Diablo Vista is a great place where I enjoy being around such wonderful students, parents, and staff.

I graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Psychology. In 1998 I earned my teaching credential. I attended California State University of Hayward for both degrees.

I have a terrific family that I love spending time with. My husband, Val, is a chiropractor in Brentwood. I have two kids that always keep me busy and make me laugh. Kaleigh is 10 and Connor is 6. Both attend school here at Diablo Vista.
