Welcome to Miss St. Gelais's 2nd Grade Webpage!

I am very excited to begin the school year.  I look forward to a year full of success and enrichment. The best way to achieve this is to have contact between parents and teacher.  My door is always open with any questions or concerns and I look forward to working as a team with all of you to ensure that your child receives the best education possible.  I truly appreciate the support that I receive from  you.  The website will be updated often, so watch for any changes. The first few weeks of school will likely be an adjustment period for your child.  We will get acquainted with and establish our classroom rules and expectations.  Throughout the year, individual responsibility will be stressed in the areas of homework, organizational skills and behavior.  This will be discussed in more detail at our upcoming Open House.

Our Schedule is as follows:

Day 1:  Art and Library

Day 2:  Technology and Spanish

Day 3:  Technology and Music

Day 4:  Art and Library

Day 5:  Physical Education and Spanish **

Day 6:  Physical Education and Music**

** Please Note:  Days 5 and 6 are our Physical Education days and your child needs to be dressed in his/her gym uniform.  If necessary, please consult the Student Handbook for clarification.  Also, please remember to label all of your child's belongings (lunchboxes, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, hats, etc.).

We will have snack daily.  Please send in ONE healthy NUT FREE snack each day.  I will also allow the children to have a SMALL water bottle on their desks throughout the day.  You can feel free to send in a personal water bottle or bottled water, please make sure these are labeled.
