PIONEER DAY ROCKS!

Terri Hurst, Thank YOU!! What a great job coordinating everything!

We had so much fun out on the trail! The morning rains only make the trail more challenging and muddy!! The mud will be what many of them remember most!

Thank you to all of you that sent in items, came and helped out, and made sure your kids were ready for the big day. Thanks is really not a big enough sentiment for all it takes to make this event happen. I am sincerely moved.  Miss Moritz

IMPORTANT PIONEER DAY INFO!!

Pioneer Day is rapidly approaching and Ms. Moritz needs as much help as possible throughout the entire week.  Below is a schedule of activities.  Please email Terri Hurst at hurst10@bellsouth.net if you are able to help out.  The lines that are highlighted in RED show where we still need volunteers!!!

Monday, 4/30   Sewing Day #1 (We need as many volunteers as possible.  Sewing experience is helpful but not mandatory.)

12:45 - 1:30  Hurst, Bradley, Strejcek, ________, _______

2:25 - 3:10   Hurst, Bradley, Strejcek, ______, ______

Tuesday, 5/1   Sewing Day #2 (as many as possible)

12:45 - 1:30   Hurst, Stark, Petmecky, ______, ______

2:25 - 3:10    Hurst, Stark, Bradley, Pilarte, Mathew, Petmecky

Thursday, 5/3   Baking Day (we need 5 volunteers, 1 per "family")

Friday, 5/4    PIONEER DAY

We need the following:

• Parents to go with the class on the TRAIL (Dads are especially helpful, but any and all parents are welcome)  - Hurst, Word, Stark, Strejcek, Bradley, Pilarte, Mathew, ______, ________, ________, ________
• Parents to prepare and bring in CROCKPOTS of chili, stew, macaroni & cheese -- Strejcek (mac & cheese), Boulet (mac & cheese), Bradley (mac & cheese), Petmecky (chili), _______ (stew), _______ (chili)
• A parent to bring in a COOLER of ice water for class and parents  -- Petmecky, Hurst
• Parents to help CLEAN UP after lunch  -- Boulet, _____. _____

We also need the following for Sewing Days:

• Pack of needles for sewing -- Hurst
• Large bag of pony beads for boys' bandannas
• Extra bandannas
• Extra fabric for aprons

Thanks for all your help!  Pioneer Day is a lot of fun for everyone, but it does require a lot of team work.  :)
