Welcome! Eighth Grade will be an exciting and busy year! I wanted to share a few things with you about our year together.
March 2, 2012 Our Hersheypark date has been confirmed for May 23, 2012. A written notice will be sent home. Tickets may be purchased through school for $30.00 if the money is sent in by 8:30 a.m. on March 14, 2012. Parents who want to attend may purchase a ticket for this price or may wait and pay full price at the gate on May 23, 2012. Parents usually car pool and follow the bus. Space on the bus will be limited with our large class size. March 8, 2012 A Hershey Park Reminder notice was handed out to students yesterday. Parents should sign the bottom and students should return the form by the due date of Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Ticket money is due by 8:30 a.m. on March 14, 2012,also. Thank you. March 13, 2012 Hershey Park orders are due tomorrow. HCC field trip is this Friday, March 16, 2012. Students are to be dropped off and picked up at HCC. April 18, 2012 Please sign and return the permission slip for the reptile show by Friday. April 20, 2012 Please return the permission slips for Antietam Recreation (May 29, 2012) and Suns Stadium (May 8, 2012). Thank you. April 25, 2012 Please return the permission slip to attend the Senior Farewell Mass at Goretti and the graduation/Hershey Park information slip by Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Thank you. May 7, 2012 The permission slip for Hershey Park was sent home last Thursday. Please return the permission slip by May 11, 2012. May 9, 2012 Please sign and return the photo release form sent home for the filming of a video by Mrs. Bockrath. May 10, 2012 Both Hershey Park and Antietam Recreation permission slips are due tomorrow, Friday, May 11, 2012. May 14, 2012 Paper was handed out on Friday for the 8th Grade students to create a photo collage. Mrs. Karn is offering extra credit for the students who complete the collage by Friday, May 18, 2012. The collages will be dispayed in the hallway and they will be returned to the students on graduation day. Today, Mrs. Marinelli passed out an inquiry letter about an 8th grade dinner to the students. She needs to receive an RSVP this week in order to continue with planning. Thanks for your continued support. We plan on passing out the caps and gowns to students tomorrow. May 21, 2012 I am sending home Hershey Park tickets to the parents that preordered them today:)
