FIELDTRIP!!! ROADTRIP!!!! BEACH TRIP!!!!!!!
Join us June 5th for the fieldtrip of a lifetime. We will be going to beautiful historic Beaufort, NC at the coast. In Beaufort we will take a boat ride across the sound to Shackelford Island with Carolina Ocean Studies. I have used this organization several times. No worries! This company puts safety first and fun while learning second. They do a phenomenal program. Students and chaperones will participate in activities such as clamming, hunting for shells, observing wild horses, and experiencing the unique ecosystem of a barrier island. For more info visit: www.carolinaoceanstudies.com
Next, we travel to Historic Fort Macon for lunch at the park area. Please bring a bagged lunch and drink with your names. We will supply coolers and ice. After lunch we tour Fort Macon at our leisure. This is a neat place that brings to life the history of NC. If we are lucky we will see and HEAR a Civil War canon fired.
After the Fort Macon tour we head to the newly renovated NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. What a magical place! Travel from the mountains to the sea with incredible exhibits of live sea creatures. You will get the opportunity to hold horses-shoe crabs, live whelk shells, and more. You will need extra cash if you wish to grab a snack and drink from the snack shop or visit the gift shop.
After this busy day you can catch a nap on the bus as we travel to Kinston to have supper at Golden Corral. Afterwards you can finish your nap on the way home.
See below for the breakdown of the cost and a payment plan. Please contact me if you are experiencing financial difficulty. We don’t want anyone to miss out.
