Box Office Mom Jackie Solberg! What films are good for our whole family to watch? Box Office Mom will discuss her movie reviews of current films.
Race to Nowhere - Movie and discussion. February 28 at 6:30 - EGRHS Little Auditorium.
PTA Meeting - Evening/Technology Night. March 8 at 7:00 p.m. This PTA meeting will focus on how technology is being used in our classrooms. Guest speakers, Mr. Pullen and Miss Mitchell will give hands-on demonstrations to show you how the latest technology provides tools for better learning.

TOWN HALL Meeting The Legislative Committee invites you to a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in the Little Auditorium of the EGR High School. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions of our administrators and legislators. Now more than ever, our children need us to be informed. Please make time to attend this very important meeting.
EGR NOW! There is an urgent and dire financial shortfall for EGR Schools due to lack of State funding. There is a projected budget deficit of $3.3 million dollars for the 2012-2013 school year alone. To help the East Grand Rapids school district avoid cutting critical education programs, the EGR Schools Foundation is sponsoring EGR NOW! – a campaign to help fund the immediate needs of our public schools.
The PTA is helping to spread the word about this campaign. A lengthy discussion at the last PTA meeting explained the details of EGR NOW! and how we can support this effort. (Please see the meeting minutes on the PTA website.)
Look for EGR NOW! information when you are at Lakeside for our school play events, parent-teacher conferences, future PTA meetings, future PTA Blasts, etc.

PTA is a volunteer organization and officers of our PTA Executive Board are nominated, slated and elected by the general membership. We are accepting nominations for the following officers of our Executive Board: 1st Vice President; 2nd Vice President; Recording Secretary; Asst Treasurer. Please either email Beth Milanowski, beth@grtrolley.com or drop your nomination in the PTA box in the office. We must present the Slate at our March General PTA meeting.
