Teacher Bio: I have been teaching since 1986. I graduated from Emory University with degrees in Education and Psychology. I returned to Emory to get my Masters Degree and my Teacher Support Specialist certification. I am also Gifted Certified. I taught Readiness at Britt and Pharr Elementary until my first son was born. I stayed home with my boys for eight years and taught preschool during that time. When my youngest started Kindergarten I came to Camp Creek to teach Fourth Grade and have been doing that since then. I love this age. It is a year of amazing social and academic growth. This will be my fourteenth year in Fourth Grade and I have no plans of leaving this grade level! I have been married for twenty-four years to my husband, Scott. We have lived in this community since 1988. Our oldest son, Zack, will be a senior at Harvard University this fall, and our youngest will be a freshman at Vanderbilt. I will miss spending the spring at Parkview baseball games now when both of my boys are gone! I consider my class to be a family and my classroom to be your child's home away from home. During the school year I will spend more waking hours with your child than you will. I believe learning and school should be fun and engaging, but will push each child to reach his or her maximum potential. To achieve this goal, we will need to work as partners in your child's education. Please check my website each week. I will update it each Friday night. Your child will work hard this year, but will have fun doing it! I look forward to getting to know and working with you all.
