Math Lab Mission Statement: 

In the Math Lab, students will engage in hands on experiences through the use of manipulatives and games that will aid them in gaining a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. 

Students will participate in math discussions and work cooperatively to explore, ask questions, solve, and explain mathematical problems. Using higher level thinking skills, students will engage in critical thinking and analysis to determine if equations, examples, and models are accurate and how to correct them if not. Through discussions students will increase their math vocabulary and observe multiple strategies for answering mathematical problems.   

It is my goal to faciliate a safe environment in which students are free to question mathematical outcomes, learn from others, and expand their thinking and reasoning skills. It is my hope that students develop a deeper appreciation for math and its everyday uses.
