Hello and Welcome!  My name is Madelyn Blue and I am excited to be your child’s second grade teacher this year.  In our year together, your little learner will grow leaps and bounds both academically and socially.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and being a partner in your child’s education!  This year your children will further their knowledge and grow even more confident in their skills.  Everything we do in class is done in the interest of developing the students to their full potential academically as well as socially.

I believe that an education is one of the most important things one can receive and I intend on doing everything in my power to ensure that we have fun while working toward our goals this year.  It is my responsibility to pride as many learning experiences as possible and I do so with enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a love for learning new things.

Learning does not stop once the children leave the classroom, so it is important to encourage your child to also study and share what they have learned at home.  The experiences they have at school are very exciting and we need to make every effort to increase the love of learning in each child.  The children will be very proud of their accomplishments and your constant interest will play an invaluable role in your child’s learning process.

I am planning to make this year an extraordinary one, full of learning and fond memories.  I want your children to feel free to ask questions and take risks in order to learn and broaden their horizons.  I hope to create an atmosphere of reassurance where self-esteem can grow in each student and where learning is considered fun and exciting!

Please feel free to contact me any time!  The best way to reach me is by email: mblue@stfrancisschool.org, or to write me a note and place it in your student’s folder.  Please give me 24 hours to respond to your email or note.  Another way to get information about what is going on in our class is by reading our Friday newsletter that will be emailed on Fridays.

Let’s have a great year together!

SMILES,

Ms. Blue
