WELCOME TO MRS. TONNIES'S 5TH GRADE CLASS!

UPCOMING EVENTS:

LAST 1/2 DAY OF SCHOOL THURSDAY, MAY 31ST

The Fieldtrip to the Airport was AWESOME!! If your child hasn't talked about it to you, ask him or her.  The students (and chaperones) had a blast.  We got to watch planes take off and land while standing on a runway.  We saw the Security tower (not the air traffic controllers, so don't worry.) The students also got the see a bomb sniffing dog in action and hold and spray a fire hose.  It was a great field trip and we are so grateful to Southwest Airlines and the airport for allowing us this opportunity.

At the bottom of this page is a link to a calendar shared by all of the 5th grade teachers (including Spanish, Art, etc.).  Daily homework will be posted, hopefully by 5:00 pm.  However, we still expect each student to write homework neatly and accurately in the school planner.
