 Helpful Hints For Parents

Here are some helpful hints to make a great start to the year!

1. School begins promptly at 8:15am.  It is important that your child arrive on time each day.
2. Please allow your child to walk to his/her classroom alone.  This helps your child become independent.
3. Please help your kindergartener learn his/her bus number going home or how he'she will be goinghome each day.
4. If your child is going home in a way different from usual, please send in a note.
5. Please send in a note following an absence or tardiness, these are important for our school records.
6. Label all sweaters, coats, sweatshirts, etc.
7. Please write your child's lunch selections down for the week and send it to school on Monday.  Please communicate with your child what he/she will be having for lunch each day.
8. Encourage your child to talk about his/her day and take time to look at your child's folder and behavior chart each night. Also, please return any forms promptly.

CLASSROOM RULES:

1.  Follow directions the first time.

2.  Raise your hand to speak.

3.  Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

4.  Be a good listener.

5.  Always do your best.

6.  Say nice things.
