Welcome to the Title I Reading Website! This site is designed to provide information about the Title I Reading program at Norway Elementary and also to help students and their parents find support and materials as they learn to read, comprehend what they are reading, and read fluently. The Title I Reading and Math program at Benton Community has been in place for over thirty years. It is a program sponsored by the federal government to help students who are delayed in learning reading and math. My name is Kara Mitchell. This is my first year teaching at Benton Community. I taught Core Reading for one year in Bettendorf, IA and taught Reading Recovery and Title I for three years in Galesburg, IL. I graduated from the Universtity of Northern Iowa in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading.
