A week

This week we will add sight words big and be. We will continue writing with descriptive words, field day events and Memorial Day weekend plans!

Stations include sight word tic-tac-toe, a bee poem, build it-draw it, reading and computer skills.

Topic 14 in math on shapes begins. There will be no school Friday through next Tuesday. Have a nice weekend!

June book order will be due 6/1/12.

Library exchange will continue during May but not in June.

Final assessments will begin soon. NWEA dates will be 6/1/12 for ELA and 6/12/12 for math. We will also use the McGraw Hill first grade placement test.

We are so excited to see "Frog and Toad." Please send in slip and cash as soon as possible.

FYI- Class picnic day- Wed. 6/20/12- room parents will contact families

Thursday, 6/21/12- last day of kindergarten! half- day 10:00 am end of the year celebration- for all to attend- VERY IMPORTANT!! 

Lastly, Please chat at home with your child about super listening. The last two months can be challenging with warmer weather, spring activities, the anticipation of the year ending etc. We still have two months together and a lot of learning to do! Your support is so important- thank you!
