Classroom News |
Science 
Students have just finished Chapter 1 on classification systems of plants and animals. There will be a test on Wed. Sept. 28th.
English 
We have been working on learning about nouns used as subjects, subject compliments, direct and indirect objects. Students also wrote their first assignment which involved interviewing another student and writing about their summer vacation.
Spelling 
There will be a weekly list of 25 spelling words which go along with our reading series. We will have a class spelling bee every Thursday as a review but some students need additional practice at home.
Math 
Students have just finished Ch 1 on place value, ordering numbers, and adding and subtracting decimals. There will be a test on Mon. Sept 26th.
Reading 
We will be reading a story and having a test weekly. Please be sure that your student knows the vocabulary words that go with the weekly story.
Religion 
We are learning about creation and God's gifts to the world and that we are all gifts to each other.
