8th Grade:

Literature: 8th Graders are in the process of working on the MLA research paper.  We have learned how to choose a topic, find sources, write a thesis, and create an outline.  We are preparing to write the drafts and peer edit.

English:  The 8th Graders are concluding their study of adverbs.  Next up: prepositions, conjunctions, interjections, and verbals!

7th Grade:

Literature:  We are currently reading the historical fiction novel Johnny Tremain.

English:  The 7th Graders are working on verbs and punctuation.

6th Grade:

Literature:

The 6th Graders are currently working on the novel Hatchet.
