Happy New Year! Welcome, 2012! With the new year comes new stories in literature and new topics in English. Middle school students will continue to learn to appreciate literature and its lessons and to improve their grammar skills.
The English classes are continuing to learn about parts of speech and the 6th and 7th grade literature classes are studying elements of short stories and learning the importance of detail and critical thinking in response to literature. In 8th grade, we are studying The Red Badge of Courage and preparing for the American Legion Essay Contest.
