Intro to Enviro Sci Vocab
At the bottom of this page, you will see a list of words. Theses are Latin and Greek root words. Read the following instructions for today's assignment: - Copy and paste the list of words into your Word document.
- Visit the Latin-Greek Cross Refernce Search Engine.
- For each term in your list, use the searhc engine to determine whether it is a Latin or Greek root word.
- Using the Latin-Greek search engine, determine and type the literal Latin or Greek meaning of the root word.
- Look through the list of terms that contain the root word and select at least 3 examples of words that contain this root word.
- Type each example word into your document.
- Be sure to include the definition for each term.
- Try and choose terms that you are at least a little familiar with or that have something to do with environmental science.
- If there are several pages of exmaple words, do not choose all of your terms from the first page.
- BE ORIGINAL!!!
- EXTRA CREDIT: Add a small image or picture that helps to represent your root word.
- Print your work and put it in the vocab section of your binder.
- Study your vocab list tonight!
