Course Description

Commedia del’ Arte (11-12) SEM 1 Commedia del’ Arte is a class which teaches the performance elements of the Commedia del' Arte performance style.  Students will study theatre history related to Commedia del’ Arte, and the classical performance style. In this class, students will learn juggling and various clowning skills. All the skills and techniques learned in the class will build on the elements and techniques from the Comedy class.

Course Requirements

This course is a class only for juniors and seniors. Students will need a folder in which to keep handouts, and class notes. Attire should allow for active movement in performance and in class. Attendance in class is necessary for rehearsal in groups and to keep up with assignments. As always, it is the responsibility of the student to find out what was missed if a class is missed.
