Make-up Work

Classroom attendance is mandatory for all students. If a students absence or tardy is unexcused there will not be an opportunity to make up the work and the student will receive a zero. For excused absences, students are responsible to follow classroom procedures to receive and complete their make-up work. Two days (not including the day of return) are allowed for each day of excused absence to complete make-up work. Previously assigned work is due the day of return.

Suspended students: It is your responsibility to get the missed work. All work is due on the day of return from the suspension. If you are internally suspended you must maintain current classroom assignments while on internal suspension and turn in work daily.

Upon arrival to class (not the bell) students will immediately turn in homework and start working on their daily thought questions. Following the review the daily lesson along with some assignment or classwork will conclude the class period.

Rules:

In order to provide a classroom conducive to learning, there must be rules in place that will protect students for their right to learn. I have 4 simple rules that aid in the smooth management of my classroom.

1. Be on time and prepared for class.

2. Show respect to the learning environment and others at all times.

3. Electronic devices should remain away unless instructed otherwise.

4. Take responsibility for your own work. (Cheating or plagiarism will not be tolerated)

All of my rules are based off of observable behaviors. If you choose to follow or not follow a certain rule that behavior or action will have a consequential response, either a reward or a logical punishment.

Rewards:

1.     Praise

2.     Positive Phone Calls

3.     Recommendation for awards

4.     Extra Credit Opportunities

Consequences

1.     Warning

2.     1 Minute stay after class

3.     2 Minute stay after class
