Parent Education Opportunities/Workshops

Across the district we have Parent Education Workshops.  There are a variety of workshops offered every month.  We hope that you enjoy any workshop that you attend.  If you have a suggested topic for a workshop, please email me at cruzd@friscoisd.org.

Thursday, March 25 from 12:00-1:00 PM The Strong Willed Child - what are the characteristics and how to work with a child who has it.  Presented by Carrie Brazeal from Texas A & M AgriLife Extension.  The meeting will be held at Isbell Elementary in the GT Room Number 121.

Friday, March 26 from 8:30-9:30 AM ADHD/Learning disabilities - come learn about ADHD, what can you do to help your child cope; an overview of learning disabilities.  Presented by Dr. Fletcher and Ms. Gaines.  The meeting will be held at Isbell Elementary in the library.

Thursday, April 1 from 8:30-9:30 AM Bullying: Presented by Cynthia Small, Practical Parent Educator. The meeting will be held at Isbell Elementary in the GT/QUEST room

Monday, April 12 from 12:00-1:00 PM Topic to be determined Presenter: Carrie Brazeal from Texas A & M AgriLife Extension.  Location: Isbell Elementary Library

Wednesday, April 14 from 7:00-8:00 PM The Birds and The Bees Talk Presented by Marilyn Morris, AIM for Success Program - She will be giving parents tips and tools about how to talk to their children about the birds and the bees at any age. Location: Isbell Elementary Cafeteria
