NYSED Internet Safety Resources for Teachersthe New York Department of Education provides links to the listed resources listed in providing assistance designed to promote the proper and safe use of the Internet.

NetSmartz Kids: provides age-appropriate resources to help teach children how to be safer on and offline. The program is designed for children ages 5-17, parents and guardians, educators and law enforcement. With resources such as games, activity cards and presentations, NetSmartz entertains while it educates.

FBI-SOS (Safe Online Surfing)They provide a free internet safety and cyber citizenship program for grades 3 through 8.

10 Interactive Lessons on Digital Citizenship: Google just launched a set of 10 interactive lessons designed to support teachers in educating students on digital citizenship. Google (which owns YouTube) built the lessons to educate students about YouTube’s policies, how to flag content, how to be a safer online citizen, and protect their identities.

Teaching Students About Digital Footprint: includes several YouTube videos, so review this ahead of time. But good collection of information.
