Hoover Middle School's mathematics curriculum is designed to ensure that every member of our diverse student population has the opportunity to succeed during middle school and be prepared for entry to high school (and beyond). All courses are standards based, and each course follows the specific course pacing schedule. Each curriculum is rigorous and students will be required to be active participants inside and outside of the classroom to succeed. Each of the mathematics teachers at Hoover is dedicated to working with students to help our students be as successful as possible. If you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
2011-2012 Math Benchmark Schedule
Four benchmarks have been scheduled throughout the year. Each benchmark is designed to be completed in two class periods and will emphasize all of the content standards for each math class. It is expected that most students will miss the problems that have not been covered in class prior to the benchmark, but students should be able to do progressively better as we approach the final benchmark and the spring California State Tests (CST).
