Our FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: How is the tuition calculated?

A: The fiscal department has calculated a "mock weekly rate", multiplied it by the actual number of weeks the children are in school (excluding break weeks), and then divided it by ten months. Even though your tuition is the same rate every month, it is to avoid some months being more money than others. Your tuition is calculated to reflect a lower and consistent monthly rate. Q: Is lunch provided on Minimum Days, Full Days, Breaks, etc?

A: The cafeteria is open and available for "hot lunches" on MINIMUM DAYS ONLY. Your child needs a sack lunch on full days and break weeks as the school kitchen staff is off during these times. We CANNOT microwave or refrigerate your child's lunches.

Q: How are the grades separated?

A: The grades are separated into three groups with each group having the necessary staff to accommodate numbers. Kindergarten has one staff and is by themselves most of the time. First and second grades are together in the main Child Development Program building with two staff members and one of the staff assist the children with the heavy enrichment class schedule. Third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades are combined with three staff in their own building (Room 7) with developmentally appropriate activities for their age group. On Fridays, All the children combine during outside play on the lower court and inside the Child Development Program Building.

Q: What activities will my child be doing?

A: In addition to clubs, your child will be provided with an optional homework time from 3:15p.m. to 4:00p.m. Monday through Thursday (1st - 6th grades only). Activities take place daily during your child's designated activity time. Our daily schedules are located next to our "Parent Board" inside the main CDP building. Each day, your child is also provided outside play time in a designated area. Kindergarten through second grades play in the yard located directly behind the CDP building. Third through sixth grades are allowed in the upper court sand box and on the lower park.

Q: Can I pay my tuition with cash, checks, and/or credit card?

A: We accept all forms of payment, but we prefer checks. We have an online payment system available for check cards and credit cards. If you choose to use this method, you should see a "CLICK TO PAY" button provided on your monthly invoice. If you do not recieve your invoice in an email, please contact "CDP Fiscal Services" at 661.294.5300.

Q: What do I do if my child is sick? Will I receive a credit?

A: We understand that things happen. A doctors note must be provided for a sick child who has not attended school or our program for the entire week. ALL sick credit inquiries must be approved by our program director, Michelle Morse. There is no guarantee that you will receive credit for your child's illness with a doctor's note.
