OVERTON CAREER FAIR- If a four year university is not for you, check out Overton's career fair. You will be able to speak to representatives from Tech Schools and there will also be a variety of career opportunities. This is being held at Overton High School on March 8, 2012, 6:00-8:00p.m., in the large gym. Parents are incouraged to attend as well as students.

Phillips Exeter Academy Summer School: This summer program offers five weeks of academic study, athletics, and exploration, and includes students from all over the world. More information can be found at www.exeter.edu/summer. The summer school is open to students who have completed grades nine, ten, eleven, and twelve.
Nashville Career Advancement Center – Summer Internship Program: This program is for current juniors (class of 2013) who are enrolled in a high school in Davidson County. During the program, participants will be assigned to work at a Metro Department for twenty hours per week for four weeks. Participants will receive opportunities for skill building and training and will be paid $8 per hour for both their training and work time. Participants must provide their own transportation. The SCHOLARS ACADEMY AT MTSU is currently accepting applications for it's Summer Institute. The Summer Institute will be held July 8th-August 11th. It is a summer bridge program that helps prepare incoming freshman for first year experiences. All students who attend the Scholars Academy must commit to attending MTSU and remain an active member of the Scholars Academy.
