IB Assessment
|
|
IB Scoring IB-based assessment will be kept in two separate categories in Zangle. The first is the IB-Assessment category that will reflect the IB-based score (1-7) from all tests taken in class. The second will show IA scores for all IA lab assignments. For progress report and report card grades, the two categories will be weighted and averaged to generate an overall score reflective of the student's progress so far in the course. For semester IB marks, IB test scores are averaged and multiplied by .75. IB IA lab scores are averaged and multiplied by .25. (The actual percentage of the IB score a student receives is 76% from the IB exam) These two values are added together. The IB score reported reflects the highest threshold achieved without averaging. For example, an IB average of 3.7 was awarded a 3 on the report card because this reflects the highest fully achieved level.
