Cypress Bay's French Honor Society would like to introduce Falcon Cove to the French language! This is an opportunity to introduce the basics of the French language for middle school students. Hopefully, they will develop an interest for the language that will be very useful for them in high school.

The French club will meet Thursdays from 4-5pm in Room 119. Mrs.Elizabeth Campagna and Ms.Marylin Negron are our Falcon Cove sponsors, and Ms.Kalebra Williams, French specialist, is the Cypress Bay sponsor.

We incorporate grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation while having fun through interactive activities. The highlights of our club are, for example  watching G rated movies in French(ex. Ratatouille), making crafts, learning French music, performing plays and skits, etc. Students' activities also include visual and interactive learning through posters, presentations, and group participation. We incorporate French culture and history by celebrating French holidays.

All the tutors from French Honor Society are volunteers who have completed level 3 or higher French classes. Our goal is to prepare Falcon Cove students to easily and successfully participate in a French 1 course. We maintain a very comfortable and personalized environment between the students and the tutors.

Students are allowed to provide their own snack and will be allowed to eat during the first few meetings of class. We encourage that students bring a folder and paper to keep handouts or to copy notes.

We hope this following school year is even more successful than the first! All Falcon Cove students are welcome, and we look forward to having young francophones!
