HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
"Be careful how you live: you may be the only Bible some people ever read."
Grade 8 Algebra We are still working on unit five which is totally new material. We are simplifying quotients of monomials, finding the GCF of several monomials, dividing polynomials by monomials, finding the product of two monomials mentally, finding squares of binomials, working with quadratic trinomials, factoring polynomials, and solving equations by factoring. This is a very long and involved unit. Math, like any subject requires study. It would help them greatly if they would review their notes daily, not just before a quiz or test, and completely do their assignments nightly.
PRE - ALGEBRA We are into unit eight which is solving equations and inequalities that require combining like terms, using the Distributive property, and having the unknown on both sides of the equation or inequality. These are the most difficult concepts we have studied thus far. Math requires study and effort and they are now realizing that fact. Concepts need to be reviewed on a regular basis - not just before a quiz or test.
GRADE 6 We have recently completed unit 6 and should have unit 7 ( multiplication and division of fractional numbers) and the next unit almost completed by the end of this month. Their motivation, attitude and attention creates a great atmosphere for learning. .
