The Rutherford Jr. High Band Program offers instrumental music education for students in grades 6 through 8. Band is not a required activity yet requires and develops certain fundamental skills from those that participate - self-discipline, perseverance, teamwork, ability to match pitch, duplicate rhythms, follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
