Hello and welcome,

I am so happy to be your child’s 5th grade teacher!  We are going to have a very exciting, adventurous year ahead of us! 

As a teacher, I strongly believe in the importance in building and supporting well-rounded students – academically, emotionally, socially, and culturally.  Respect is a major component of our classroom community.  Students will work both independently and collaboratively, showing respect for themselves and others.

Your child’s needs and interests are central to the decisions I make in the classroom.  I feel it’s important to acknowledge and appreciate each child's unique experiences, backgrounds, intelligences, and learning styles.  I make sure to keep those differences in mind so that learning will be both meaningful and enjoyable for your child.
