Welcome to our EC-4

Dear Parents,

Welcome to our EC-4 classroom. We look forward to it being a fabulous year ahead working with you and your children. It was nice meeting the new families who will be joining us and always is exciting to see familiar returning faces.

We would like to introduce ourselves, the EC 4 Team.

EC-4A –Teacher – Priyanka D’Costa

EC-4A- Teaching Assistant – Rajashree Menon

EC-4B –Teacher – Khushnuma Ferzandi

EC-4B –Teaching Assistant – Freny  Patrawala

EC-4C – Teacher – Payal Sinha

EC-4C- Teaching Assistant – Komal Jham

EC- 4C- Teaching Assistant – Tasneem Upletawala

To better understand the EC class routines and expectations please look through the Early Childhood Handbook provided and we are available for any further queries. We will also be conducting a Curriculum Presentation on the 24th of August, 2011 where the teachers as a team will present the taught curriculum. This is a great opportunity for you to understand how your little ones spend their day learning.

We follow a six day color cycle, Specials fall on a particular color day. We will send out a monthly color schedule with the Specials mentioned on it at the end of every month in the folders. The folders have a small book for any correspondence between the teacher and the parent.

This folder needs to be brought into school every day.

We have organized a welcome packet in the folders for all our parents. The pack contains a background information form that needs to be filled and returned to the teacher at the earliest. We would appreciate you sending in a set of spare clothes labeled, which will be kept in class. Please send in a healthy snack and water bottle (labeled) with your child every day.

Children should be dressed comfortable clothing (e.g. easy pull down shorts, T-shirts, simple dresses) and comfortable shoes (e.g. trainers). The purpose behind this is for children to develop autonomy in their daily routines and to be safe. P.E uniforms are not mandatory, but still available at the school store. On P.E days children can wear P.E uniforms or shorts, T-shirts and trainers.

We are always available in our classes in case of any queries or you can write to us via the communication books or email .

Best Regards,

Payal, Khushnuma and Priyanka.
