English Language Arts
- New Theme: "Nature Walk"
- Phonics Principles: Antonyms, review synonyms and compound words
- Reading Comprehension Strategies: Compare/contrast, making predictions, summarizing, topic/main idea/details.
- Reader's Workshop: Children will be engaging in Post-It Reading and writing book reviews, literary letters, and "thick" questions more independently. Guided Reading and Conferencing will continue this month!
- Writer's Workshop: Personal Narratives, Letter writing
Mathematics
- Place value, odd/even numbers, greater or less than using symbols <, >, =.
- We will also continue Math 4 Today, Problem of the Day, and addition/subtraction speed tests.
