Dear Parents,

The end is almost near and summer will be here! This week was another crazy one with field day, Principle's Breakfast, and yearbook signing. Our schedule was interrupted throughout the week, so we spent our time working on mathematical puzzles from the Athenian Secret unit. We also watched a very interesting video clip from the Science channel, called "The Brain Man". You can go on YouTube and search Brain Man to watch it at home. It is about a genius from England that can make calculations in his head within seconds of numbers greater than a calculator.

Congratulations to those students who worked hard on Math Rules all year and earned breakfast with the teacher!!

We have sent home their Math Notebooks and folder with Focus papers (in place of the Friday folder) this week.

We are in the final stages of planning for the summer Gifted in June. We are still missing several student's registeration money. If you have not sent in your payment, please do so as soon as possible. Send in a check for $100 made out to Brookwood Elementary in an envelope with your child's name and ours.
