My Homework
|
|
Due to unforeseen circumstances we are a little bit behind this week. Tonight's homework will be the "Family Times" for the letter Gg. We are also sending home the Phonics reader for last week. This week we will be working on our next story, "If I Could Go To Antarctica". We will work on the short e sound with our story. The homework book letter this week is the short e as in elephant.
Math this week includes measuring, greater than and less than, and tangram designs.
NEW**** Please practice "flashcards" on a daily basis and return them to school. There wil be times that we will use them in school to play games. We also will be adding to the baggie every week or so, and need to have the baggie to keep all the words together. The letter book will come home each week on Monday and the children will have all week to complete the pages for the letter of the week. Homework books will be due on Friday. Please watch as your child does the handwriting portion and make sure they have the correct pencil grip and remind them to start at the headline and go down to the baseline. Some of the students are still writing their letters from the bottom up. Most lowercase letters start at the mid-line and go to the baseline.
Poetry journals will have new entries each day and your child should read the poem to you each night. Please sign or initial the page. Please complete all assignments in pencil and have students color the pictures.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. If it is in the evening please cc it to my home email. I am still trying to adjust to checking my stmarycatholicschool email address. Thanks Mrs. Hilmoe
