- We are proud to announce that Dick Bader will be inducted into the NYSPHSAA's Hall of Fame at the Annual Summer Banquet on August 1, 2012.
- Congratulations to Roy Hunt, who is being inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame on Sunday, September 13th!
- We've moved! The Section 3 office has moved to 4983 Brittonfield Parkway in East Syracuse. The new location includes a larger conference room, which is available for any leagues, committees, or officials' boards to use. Please contact the Section 3 office at 451-4588 if you wish to reserve this room for your meeting. Also, feel free to stop by anytime for a tour of our new facilities.
- NYSPHSAA has announced Adirondack Central School as the first Community Service Award State Champion. Adirondack was voted as the State Champion of the award which was established to encourage students to get involved in their local community and beyond. The Adirondack Central School District will be presented with a plaque and honored at the NYSPHSAA's Central Committee Recognition Dinner on Tuesday, August 2nd at High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid. Congratulations Adirondack!!
- This year's Scholar-Athlete Dinner will feature additional awards for students. Remember the date - June 6th, 2011, 6:30 PM, at the Rusty Rail. Hope to see you there!
- The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) announced that Oriskany Central School was named a 2009-2010 NYSPHSAA Sportsmanship Promotion award winner.
- Spike Decker, Watertown Boys Lacrosse Official, has been selected as a United States boys lacrosse official representative to the 2010 FIL World Lacrosse Championships. This year's championships are being held in Manchester, England, July 10 - 24. For more information on this event, go to www.2010worldlacrosse.com. Good luck Spike!!
