Homework and Grading Scale
|
|
All children are different. Some children will get done with their work in school, while others will not. If your child does not complete an assignment at school, it should be completed as homework. You can help your child to be successful by reviewing his/her planner every day, asking whether or not he/she has any work to complete, and if so, providing him/her with the time and a place to do it. Your child’s work will be checked over and marked, but not all work will be graded. Papers that receive no letter grade will be indicated by the following: P+ excellent P good, the assignment is complete P- the work is lacking in some area or not complete, redo WT the work was done With Teacher Papers with a letter grade will be graded as follows: 93-100% A 90-92% A- 88-89% B+ 83-87% B 80-82% B- 78-79% C+ 73-77% C 70-72% C- 69% and lower – U (unsatisfactory) If your child gets a U on a daily assignment, it may be redone to raise the grade to 70%. Redo papers should be done as soon as possible (within a day or two) so that your child can build on the concepts being learned. All test grades will stand.
