During the fall quarter, 5th grade teacher, Linda Nelson, and teacher-librarian, DeAnne Barre, joined together to team teach a unit of study on reading and writing scary stories. Students studied the characteristics of ghost stories and scary fiction, and learned about using sensory language in their writing. Please enjoy the following fine examples from Madeline and Karli!

The Fruit of Time by Madeline M.

The Riverbank Square by Karli R.
