Welcome to the McKenny Library Site!
The Learning Resource Center of Margaret McKenny Elementary is the heart of the school, an information center. The mission of the Library Information and Technology Program is to encourage and support life-long learning and literacy and to ensure that students and staff are effective, self-reliant, and critical users and producers of ideas and information.
Under the leadership of the Teacher-Librarian, the LRC supports and facilitates resource-based instruction, personal inquiry without artificial time schedules, integration of technology into the full-life of the school, staff collaboration and team teaching, and authenticity in curriculum and instruction.
