Hello! My name is Mrs. Clare Schreiber and I have been teaching in the Catholic Schools for 15 years. I am married to Dan and we have been married for 26 years. We have 5 children ranging in ages 24-16 years of age. I grew up on the east edge of Webster, NY. My mother was a music teacher and instilled in me, much of my love for music and for teaching. I attended Holy Trinity School for grammar school, Bishop Kearney for high school and Nazareth College for my undergraduate degree in Music Education. I continue to further my education by attending music workshops and classes at the Eastman School of Music. In addition to teaching classroom music at Christ the King, I am the Music Director at Holy Trinity Church in Webster, NY where I play the organ and piano, direct several choirs and provide music for many events. I play trombone in my community band. I have also directed many musicals (at Holy Trinity School) and in my community (Ontario, NY). My main goal in music class is to instill a love for music and to help students realize that music is a powerful tool in prayer, stress relief, bolstering one's self esteem and pure enjoyment! I would also like the students to be able to sing and read music to a certain degree. I teach music appreciation in my classes, especially for classical and cultural music. I hope to teach for many more years at Christ the King and continue to marvel at the talent and potential, which these children possess!
