Classroom Guidance

The Frisco ISD counseling program is based on the developmental needs of the

students.  My priority is to help develop a comprehensive guidance program

that will meet the academic, personal, and social needs of our students.  I

teach guidance lessons monthly to all grade levels.  Throughout the school

year I will teach: academic goal setting, friendship, motivation to achieve,

decision making, respect, tolerance, managing feelings, appropriate

expression, and responsible behavior.  I will also focus on the Six Pillars

of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring,

and citizenship.  Encouraging good character in young people and teaching

them right from wrong are smart things to do.  Everyone wins, and everyone

knows it.  I have a lot of fun communicating these concepts to the kids at

our fabulous Corbell campus!
