My name is Mrs. Thompson and I am the librarian at Corbell Elementary. I have been a librarian for seven years. I love being the librarian because we get to do so many fun activities with books and reading all year! The library is filled with all kinds of wonderful books that you can explore. I am Mary Aday, Library aide at Corbell Elementary. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Master's degree in Elementary Education with Reading Specialty. After 32 years of teaching experience at all elementary levels, the last 5 years in FISD as a literacy specialist, I "retired" in June 2009. I am pleased to have been invited back on a part time basis to work with Kelli Thompson in our fabulous library as I transition into retirement this year. This is a wonderful opportunity to continue working with 2 of my passions, books and students, and also have the flexibility to spend more time with my 2 favorite little people, Alexis 5 (who will be a Corbell Kinder student this year) and Jordan 2, my granddaughters. I also enjoy volunteering as a mentor/tutor at Bright Elementary and traveling with my husband Ron.
