Corbell Art My name is Melissa Gonzales and I am the art teacher for Corbell Elementary. This will be my tenth year teaching art in Frisco. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelors degree in art education. I truly love working with elementary age students and have always had a passion for art. I look forward to working with your child to create some amazing artwork this year!! Students at Corbell Elementary will be exploring their creativity throughout this school year using a variety of art media. This first semester is a great time to introduce the kindergarten students to the different elements of art such as line, shape, and color. They will learn about these elements and create various works of art. First grade and up will review and use what they already know about the elements of art to create some amazing masterpieces. Each grade level also has the opportunity to study famous artists. They will learn things such as the artist’s name, titles of their art work, and time periods in which various artists created their pieces. I can’t wait to see what creative artists we have at Corbell Elementary!   And look forward to another Amazing year!!
