DEAR JR. HIGH STUDENTS & FAMILIES,

Thank you for all your help in our 3rd Annual Science Fair this year.  It was a great success!  We had a great turn-out for this event that was held on March 29th/30th,  which was held at the same time as the Art Show.

The students put a lot of hard work into their experiments and the judges were quite impressed with their Scientific displays/experiments!

I just recieved notification that the Great Lakes Summit to be held on May 23rd and 24th has BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO INSURANCE PROBLEMS with Erie County's Environmental Education Division.  I WILL BE RETURNING THE DEPOSITS TO YOU ONCE WE RETURN TO SCHOOL AND I GET THE MONEY BACK FROM THE OFFICE.

Due to a very busy month of May, the last day for the Science Club will be APRIL 27 TH for ALL students in grades  7, and 8 and and  MAY 3rd for Grade 6.   We will end the year with a pizza party and some experiments outside.  A $2.00 fee for pizza will be due in by April 25th.  A permission slip will be coming home on Monday, April 23rd for All grades..

I look forward to having the Science Club again next year, and hope to have our club members work with some of the area High Schools on doing different types of experiments both here at Q of H and at their High School facilities.  I will be working over the summer to line up other after school field trips .
