Welcome back to school and Happy New Year!   This year is just flying by.  I love this time of year because the students are so comfortable and aware of what 6th grade is all about.  Their nervousness and the newness is gone and confidence abounds. 

A few things will be happening this month that I wanted to inform you of:

I will be setting up a few after school sessions with the students that are participating in the Math League Contest and we will be working together during a few lunches.  I will meet with the students to decide which days would be best.  The actual contest is on February 21.  It will be after school for no longer than an hour.

There will be an Outdoor School PARENT Meeting on Tuesday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium.  This meeting is for parents only and the director of the program will be showing a slideshow and answering questions.  All monies need to be turned in by the end of this month.  You may send in your payment with your child to me. 

I hope to have a Panda Express fundraising night this month but have not yet confirmed the date. 

We will be having another fun 6th Grade Social on Friday, January 20th from 3:15 - 4:30.
