Snack and Lunch

Sending a nutritious snack (please avoid sugar) for morning recess is recommended. Lunches should be in a lunch box or bag with the name on the outside. Soda is not allowed. If your child is buying lunch, please help him/her memorize their ID#. Please also remember to put money in your child's lunch account. We encourage you to make payments online. Birthdays

Due to special dietary needs and food allergies, we are ask that you receive permission from your child's teacher, before sending in any food items for your child's birthday.   Alternatives for celebrating your child's special day are to donate a book to the class, or send in items such as pencils, erasers, etc. to pass out to each student in lieu of food. 

Parent-Teacher Communication

It is important that we have open communication between school and home. We plan to keep you informed about classroom curriculum, activities, and your child's progress through our grade level website, e-mails, newsletters, conferences, personal notes, report cards and telephone calls.

We will also send important information, correspondence, and homework via your child's binder.  We encourage your child to be responsible in delivering any important papers to you.

Your child will take home a conduit (manila envelope) every Thursday.  Please read the papers, sign the front of the envelope and have your child bring the empty envelope back to school the next day (unless papers are requested to be returned).

If, at any time during the school year you would like to discuss your child's fourth grade experience, we will be happy to set up a phone conference or a conference at school. You may also contact us via e-mail.
