Class Environment 

To insure the best possible learning environment, each student will need to do things the Falcon way:


If a student can follow these expectations and accomplish academic goals set in class, s/he will earn rewards: Academic achievement, verbal praise, or Math Money.


If a student fails to meet these expectations, the following consequences may occur:

  1. Verbal Warning
  2. Student moved to the “reflection table”.
  3. Name on board = 15 minute after school detention 
  4. Parent phone call/ RC “time out”
  5. Referral to Mr. Bui.
 
 GRADING POLICY: 
 
All work MUST be done in pencil and accompanied by a solution for teacher to review and written legibly.

Cheating of any kind will result in an automatic F.
 
Students will be graded each marking period based on the following: 

Assessments & Grades 

100% A+

90-99% A

80-89% B

70-79% C

60-60% D

0-59% F


Grading is done by total points, broken down as follows:

  • Daily Warm-ups: 2 points each
  • Daily homework: 10 points each
  • Notes/Classwork: 10 points each
  • Quizzes: 50 points each
  • Exams: 100 points each.
  • Extra points: 2 points each day

Homework: There will be homework. Students are to complete homework by designated deadlines.  


Make-up work: Tests/Quizzes missed during absences from class can be made up by appointment after school from 

2:15 -3:00 PM.  Tests/Quizzes and assignments must be made up within two weeks of missed work or grades are forfeit.  Other make-up times are available on a case-by-case basis.
