It's hard to believe that we're already into the second half of the school year. There is still plenty of time for you to get involved with the PTSO, however. It doesn't matter if you're a parent, student or teacher, WE NEED YOU ALL! Each of you brings a unique perspective to the role that the PTSO has at Columbia. Our combined efforts are all about helping to make our students' school experience the best it can be.

We're working hard to raise funds to support as many programs and activities as we can as we continue to face increasingly difficult budget challenges. We can only offer support, financial or otherwise with sufficient help, i.e, WE NEED BODIES! So please, participate in any way you can: attend meetings, serve as an officer, help with projects and events, and contribute to our fundraising efforts, too. Just a little help goes a long way. PTSO MEETINGS:

Our next meeting for the school year is scheduled for Thursday, February 16th. Please join us and see what's happening for the rest of the school year. We need to hear what's important to you!

FUNDRAISERS:

Hannaford Gift Cards

This fundraiser will continue to run throughout the 2011-2012 school year. We raised over a $1000 last year - so it really does work well for us - and we don't have to sell anything - except the concept! If you wish to join in, it's easy to do. We'll send out more information once the school year gets under way, but you can also check out the details on our fundraiser page here.

We also hope to bring you a new "recycling" fundraiser in the spring. We'll keep you posted as plans progress.....
