Grading Scale
|
|
This is the first time that students will be receiving a letter grade for assignments. Students are expected to turn assignments in on time. If any assignment is a day late, there will be a reduction of one letter grade. If an assignment is two days late, there will be a reduction of two letter grades. If an assignment is three or more days late, there will not be a letter grade given and it will result in no credit. It is important to keep up on assignments, as they help to introduce the next concept in the sequence. Not every assignment will receive a letter grade or a check mark. We will complete some assignments together and they will have a T at the top. | % | Grade | % | Grade | Work Not Receiving a Letter Grade | | 93-100 | A | 73-77 | C | Ö+ | Assignment exceeded expectations | | 90-92 | A- | 70-73 | C- | Ö | Assignment met expectations | | 88-89 | B+ | 68-69 | D+ | Ö- | One or more items need to be redone | | 83-87 | B | 63-67 | D | | | 80-82 | B- | 60-62 | D- | | | 78-79 | C+ | Below 60 | U | | | | | | | | If a student receives a D or lower on a daily assignment, they will have the opportunity to redo the assignment (maximum of 2 days) to raise the percentage of the grade. All test grades will stand.
